VIII INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON COMPUTING IN NORTHERN CHILE

PURPOSE
The "VIII International Congress on Computing in Northern Chile", organized by INFONOR-CHILE, is a space for the dissemination of academic, scientific and professional activities in the areas of Computer Engineering and Computer Science.
PLACE
The "VIII International Congress on Computing and Informatics in the Northern Chile" is organized by the universities of Tarapacá, Arturo Prat, Católica del Norte and Atacama. The 2017 version will be held at the University of Tarapacá, Arica-Chile from October 16 to 20, 2017.
Arica (officially San Marcos de Arica) is a city, commune and port of Chile, capital city of the homonymous province and the Arica and Parinacota Region, located in the northern border of Chile, only 18 kilometers (11 miles) to the southern border of Peru.
The city is known as the "City of Eternal Spring" for its beaches and pleasant climate, and as the "North Gate" of the country, due to its proximity to Peru and Bolivia. Arica is characterized by cultural, folk, ethnic diversity and also by its historical past, standing out Chinchorro mummies, considered among the oldest in the world.
THE EVENT
This year the "VIII International Congress on Computing in the Northern Chile" will be held in conjunction with the "XXIX Chilean Computer Conference". In addition, the event considers the following workshops:

These will be carried out jointly or merged with their equivalents of the Chilean Computer Conference.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The Congress accepts research papers on any subject of interest in computing, information technology and its applications, mainly, but not limited to:
- Software Engineering - Platform-based Software - Intelligent Systems - Knowledge and Data Engineering - Data Mining - Information Systems, Business Intelligence - Robotics and automation - Distributed and Parallel Systems - Graphics and Visualization - Internet of Things (IoT) - Smart Cities
PRESENTATION OF ARTICLES
Authors are invited to submit articles that report original results of scientific research in English, Spanish or Portuguese. Articles should be written using the INGENIARE journal format (http://www.ingeniare.cl) and submitted through the Easy Chair platform, using the following URL: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf= Infonorchile2017
Papers submitted will be reviewed and evaluated by an international program committee (double-blind review). Accepted papers will be published digitally in the annals of INFONOR-CHILE 2017. The ten best articles accepted and presented at the Conference will be considered for publication in INGENIARE (Scielo Chile and Scopus indexed journal).
