Submitting to either of the deadlines is exactly equivalent. The review process will be the same for each. The only differences are the submission deadline and notification dates. All accepted papers will be presented at the GI 2022 conference in May 2022. The incentive to submit to an earlier deadline is earlier author notification. Papers rejected from an earlier deadline are welcome to submit significantly revised versions of their paper for the later deadline.
