Presentations consist of research that addresses important business and societal questions with a focus on information technology. The WISE community is open to a wide variety of research methodologies. WISE welcomes new research related to the broad area of information systems that is supported by economic theories and methods. We invite the submission of extended abstracts for the 2018 conference in San Francisco. Submissions will take place through Easy Chair.

Submission format

Extended abstracts must be submitted as PDF documents through the Easy Chair submission portal. If you have not used Easy Chair before, you will have to go through a short registration process before submitting your work.

Extended abstracts can have a maximum of six double-spaced pages (12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins). This includes text, references, figures, and tables.

Content considerations

All submissions should be in the form of a six-page extended abstract. Extended abstracts will be reviewed by the Workshop co-chairs, who will allocate accepted papers into one of two categories: (i) a regular presentation (with a discussant) or (ii) a shorter presentation (with no discussant).

Any given individual should present no more than one paper at the Workshop, and the submitting author on each paper should also be the presenting author.

In order to minimize repeated exposure of the same paper, we ask that authors not submit work that has been scheduled for presentation at either ICIS 2018 or WITS 2018. WISE does not assume copyright over accepted work and does not publish formal proceedings. Accepted extended abstracts included in the program will be posted unless otherwise requested by the submitting author.
