Scope: With the development of Internet of Things (IoT), various large-scale real-time data processing applications for handling real-time sensor data are becoming one of the important applications in Cloud Computing. The academia, the industry and even the government institutions have already begun to pay close attention to how to efficiently process large amount of sensor data in real-time using Cloud Computing technology. Although Cloud Computing technology has attracted much attention with high-performance, there are strong needs for improving data processing efficiency of large-scale real-time data. This symposium will provide a forum to discuss fundamental issues on research and development of real-time data processing for Cloud Computing as well as challenges in design and implementation of novel real-time data processing algorithms, architectures and systems. The relevant topics include, but not limited to:

 Real-time data processing algorithms  Real-time data processing architectures and systems  Using FPGA, GPU, ASIC technologies for high performance data analytics  Design and implementation of Internet of Things related applications  Data collection, analytics, security and management  Scheduling for distributed systems  Network techniques for real-time data processing  Mining sensor data collected from large-scale smartphone sensing deployments  Big data analytics in large sensor networks  Sensor cloud systems for remote and real-time monitoring  Real-time data processing applications Organisation: General Chair:  Xiaojun Zhai, University of Derby, UK  Faycal Bensaali, Qatar University, Qatar  Lu Liu, University of Derby, UK Technical Program Committee (To be confirmed)  Tanya Vladimirova, University of Leicester, UK  Kofi Appiah, Nottingham Trent University, UK  Klaus D McDonald-Maier, University of Essex, UK  Abbes Amira, Qatar University, Qatar  Hamza Baali, Qatar University, Qatar  Hongyuan Jing, University of Leicester, UK  Shoaib Ehsan, University of Essex, UK  Yanghong Tan, Hunan University, China  Bin Ye, University of Kent, UK  Xingzhen Bai, Shandong University of Science and Technology, China  James Hardy, University of Derby, UK  Bo Yuan, Tongji University, China  Muhammad Fayyaz, Satellite Research & Development Centre Lahore, Pakistan  Paul Comerford, University of Derby, UK  Zhifeng Zhong, Hubei University, China,  Wanlong Chen, University of Kent, UK  Lily Meng, University of Hertfordshire, UK Important Dates Paper Submission Deadline: 30 July 2017 Authors Notification: 27 August 2017 Camera-Ready Paper Due: 20 September 2017 Early Registration Due: 30 September 2017 Conference Date: 5-8 December 2017

Submission Guidelines Authors are requested to submit papers electronically via Easy Chair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rtdpcc2017ii. Submitted manuscripts should be structured as technical papers and may not exceed 6 pages including figures, tables and references using the templates available at http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template, which include an optional free collaborative cloud-based LaTeX authoring tool.

Authors should submit the manuscript in PDF format and make sure that the file will print on a printer that uses letter size (8.5 x 11) paper. The official language of the meeting is English. All manuscripts will be reviewed and will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, quality of presentation, and interest and relevance to the conference attendees.

Submitted papers must represent original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal.
