The 4th edition of SIES will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The event comes after the three previous successful editions of the IEEE Symposium on Industrial Embedded Systems which were held respectively in Antibes Juan-Les-Pins (France, SIES2006), Lisbon (Portugal, SIES2007), and La Grande Motte (France, SIES2008). The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia and provide them with a platform to report on recent developments, deployments, technology trends and research results, as well as initiatives related to embedded systems and their applications in a variety of industrial environments.
