Aim and Scope

Data intelligence and data security are two closely related views, while data management is the base of both data intelligence and data security. In the era of big data, data management, data intelligence and data security are all very important, and present constant challenges for both academia and industry. Those challenges bring with great opportunities for innovative ideas, tools and technologies.

The First International Conference on Data Intelligence and Security (ICDIS-2018) aims to: (1) provide a unique forum where data management, data intelligence, and data security are all involved; (2) provide a forum for researchers, experts, professionals and stakeholders in related fields to disseminate their recent advances and share their views on future perspectives.

Themes The topics of ICDIS-2018 include three aspects. First, contributions on data management are welcome. Second, contributions on data intelligence are welcome, including works on how to learn from data and how to intelligently process data. Third, contributions on data security and privacy are also within the scope of the conference. Particularly, the topics of interest include but are not limited to:

1. Data Management · Data warehousing, OLAP, SQL analytics · Data integration and data cleaning · Information retrieval · Storage, indexing, and physical database design · Distributed and parallel databases · Image and video processing & analysis · Natural language processing · Graph data management · Social networks analysis · Web data analysis · Semi-structured data · Data feature Extraction · Data dimension reduction · Data visualization 2. Data Intelligence · Big Data Intelligence · Small-samples machine learning · Deep learning · Unsupervised learning and clustering · Supervised learning and classification · Reinforcement learning · Case-based reasoning · Statistical learning · Conceptional learning · Frequent pattern mining · Association rules mining · Web intelligence · Learning/adaption of recognition and perception · Learning for handwriting recognition · Artificial neural network · Optimization techniques for learning · Data-driven evolutionary optimization · Data-driven fuzzy systems design 3. Data Security and Privacy · Big data security · Biometrics · Access control · Authorization · Intrusion detection · Anomaly detection · Fraud detection · Information assurance · Network security · Secure cloud computing · Secure multi-party computation · System security · Information hiding · Data privacy · Sensitive data collection · Privacy-preserving data mining · Privacy-preserving data publishing
